Evaluation question 3
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
From the audience feedback I gathered i discovered that most people who took part in my survey tend to love pop and rock more than the other genres i had stated in the questionnaire.
This was a relief when I found this from my feedback as I already had the song i wanted to do for my music video in mind and my survey showing that most people love rock music as a pose to other genres. This meant when I created the music video for the song "Can't stop" I would have a bigger target audience to be aiming my video at.
However all of the people that took part in my essay happened to be in the same age category, I put this down to me only being able to share my survey with other students of the college and people I have on Facebook twitter and other social networking sites who all fall into the same age group unfortunately. This means that the survey I conducted may not be the most reliable as answers may vary in different age groups and would give me different statistics.
As for the question on star image only 25% of the people that answered my survey said it was "very important" this was a much lower percentage to what i expected, however 58% of people answered that its "Not that important but its good to have". After doing this research I decided to give my actor and band members a bit of star image so they are a recognisable figure but not go to far with costumes, hair, makeup etc. to the people where it is cutting into recording and editing time as the audience seemed to think it was not that important.
I also asked on my questionnaire what peoples opinions are on the Red hot chili peppers, most of the feedback I got here was positive and the audience said that they enjoyed the music from this band, some even went as far to say things such as "my favourite band" and "they are gods". As you can imagine this was a relief for me as the song I was creating a music video was by this band, this encouraged me as it seems from the feedback the audience that took part in the questionnaire would like to see the video produced.
Most of the audience who filled out my questionnaire said performance or narrative were most important in a music video that is why i decided to use elements of both when i created my music video. By doing this I will reach both parts of the audience who thing either narrative or performance is most important in a music video.
50% of the people who filled out my questionnaire stated that the main reason they watch the music video for a song is because they like the song and they simply want to see what the music video will be like. This helped me as i realised to impress the target audience i needed some conventions that are usually used in this genre of music or even with the band.

Album advert draft 2
On this second draft of the album advert i decided to change the format of it completely as it did not show much of my editing skills or my ability to use photoshop, i do not have much experience with photoshop admittedly but i used youtube tutorials to help me learn some more methods so i could make a better album cover / album advert
Final album advert
